TMAG is a not-for-profit organization with the goals of reducing crime, improving the appearance, and promoting business in the Thompson Lane/Murfreesboro Road
neighborhood in Nashville, TN.  Boundaries are (roughly) marked by I-24 on the west
and Briley Parkway on the east.  If you live or work anywhere in the vicinity, you are welcome to join.  Membership is open to businesses, individuals, and non-profit organizations. (Don't worry if you live or work slightly outside of these markers. Your concern and participation is welcome.)

 
 


NEWS & ISSUES

 

We will be joining the Glengarry Park Neighborhood Watch for the Mayor's Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 5th, 6:30 p.m. at Arlington Methodist Church - 1360 Murfreesboro Pike. This is a pot luck dinner, so please bring a covered dish.

 

Normal Meeting time and schedule: 3rd Thurs, every other month
We have changed our regular meeting time to 6:30 for at least this spring and early summer. We will be meeting every other month as well, unless events call for additional time. We are disrupting that schedule for this event. The next scheduled meeting will be October 16.

Mill Creek Island Cleanup held on December 1
Mr. Chad Whittenburg of the TN Wildlife Federation organized a cleanup of the Mill Creek Island between Crescent Plaza and La Mexicana Market.
 
MDHA Community Development Grant

TDOT did not be provide additional funds to the original MDHA community development grant for 2007. Linda Howard, with MDHA, has reapplied our area for 2008. It's not too late to generate new letters of support of the Murfreesboro Road Commercial District project.
