TMAG Committees

TMAG has several committees, which work with the Neighborhoods Resource Center, the Mayor's Office for Neighborhoods, Metro council members, other elected officials, and various metro departments to improve the quality of life along our section of
Murfreesboro Road.

Beautification - works to improve the appearance of the neighborhood. We sponsor at least four clean-up days per year and have taken over the maintenance of the medians from TDOT with a combination of donations and dues.

Crime - works with the metro Police Department to help reduce and prevent crime. Also promotes use of the Trespass Waiver, which allows police officers to investigate suspicious activity and take enforcement action, if needed, on business property without specifically being called. Click here to download a copy of the Trespass Waiver. Print it out, sign it, get
it notarized, and return it to your nearest Police station. (This is a PDF file, so if you need Acrobat Reader click here.) Also, Please notice that all NES streetlights have a number attached to the poles. If you notice a streetlight that is not functioning correctly, or have additional public lighting issues, contact NES. (See the Links page for more information.)

Membership - recruits new members.

Steering - Includes the elected officers and provides leadership as well as setting the meeting agendas.

Elected officers:

President - Fred Beahm, Beahm Design

Vice-President - Kirby Davis, First Management

Secretary - Neil Lawrence, Vultee Church of Christ

Treasurer - Carol Barrett, Executive South Office Building

Dues:

$25.00/individual and $100.00/business annually. (Part of these dues will go to help maintain the grass medians along Murfreesboro Road, which TDOT had acknowledged that its 4 budgeted mowings a year was "probably" not adequate.)
